Re: Playstation TV

I've been using my PSTV for some time. It's really good for playing PSP games on the TV.

Re: Playstation TV

They have stiff competition from Apple TV - almost all non-PS owners will buy that.

They should offer heavily discounted media to compete, given they have so many film studios.

It's really not even competing with Apple TV. There's no video streaming services available for it. It's almost entirely a gaming system.

Re: Playstation TV

You can stream it all via the PS4 I guess. I'm very tempted to get one, but just think it might sit there unused in my bedroom...perhaps for PSVita games it could be worth it or PS4 games that aren't reliant on lagless input.

Re: Playstation TV

I picked one of these up recently for $29. I haven't actually opened it yet. My understanding is that it is excellent for playing the JRPGs in the Vita's library, but not as good for streaming PS4 games unless it is hardwired in.

Re: Playstation TV

Well, you either need to be going wifi direct to the system, or be hardwired through it for best performance. If you're going over a shared wifi then it's dependent on how good your wifi router is.
