Why Are police so fussy?

Have you ever noticed how fussy police are? I mean take today for instance, They come round my house and tell me to turn off my music or they take my entire computer, and speakers and anything else that I have that makes noise due to I was at the end of their meter sound thing they have that tells them my sound.. and they come round during my favourite song and I had to turn it off

But I noticed my neighbour listens to rap twice as loud as I do but yet when I listen to my Heavy Metal loud they at the door instantly.. have the cops got something against Heavy Metal? I told them this and all they said was "TURN IT OFF NOW".. anyone else ever had this sort of problem?

I mean who can moan at the great song "Cult - Slayer"?

Re: Why Are police so fussy?

Is someone complaining about you specifically? Perhaps a neighbour on the other side?

Unfortunately, I think it's true what they said, they can take your entire kit away if you continue to violate

When I lived in (a flat in) London I used to hate not being able to blast my music.

I would invest in some really nice headphones, some of them can really blow you away with their awesome sound quality. I used to love my sennheisers.... until the dog chewed em up

Wireless headphones?

One things for sure, I wouldn't put my kit at risk - I'd be lost without it

Indeed, I asked them what level of sound is recommended they could hear it and I couldn't even hear it so I'm going to not have any sounds for a while.

Re: Why Are police so fussy?

Damn its even worse at night I was playing my PSP this morning at 4AM, but instead of the police knocking I had my neighbours telling my to turn my sub woofer off and I'm standing their thinking.. The hell? I'm playing my PSP... But that [Admin Edit: Racist language removed: Do NOT use such language on Gamesey] neighbour insisted I had my music on loud and said "I'll call the cops if you continue with your loud music" so now a PSP is too loud? Damn.

Re: Why Are police so fussy?

sorry to agree with the neighbour ......but at 4 am in the morning they aint gonna get out of their beds unless you are disturbing them , they may have kids sleeping or just be knackered themselves ...i think it is a difficult situation as we all like to do things we want without being questioned , but we share this world and have to be considerate of others ..if their music is as loud, you compain about them too. Maybe keep the louder times to weekends so they know it is then they will be disturbed and can rest all week in harmony ..a little compromise might enable you all to have some peace.maybe your subwoofer or speakers are too close to the wall try repositioning them away from the wall or on the opposite wall where the neighbours are not complaining.

Indeed, but my psp isn't that loud on half volume with GTA, that isn't loud.. but I can tell you one thing in the room next to me their was someone "making love" (How I know this is I could hear them clear as day.. and the bed on the wall (Woke me up)) but because our houses go in a line all attached.. So when one floods the whole lot do but that was one side and on the other side I have no problems at all as I got an old women in their who sleeps the other side of her house and is pretty much death (You really should hear her TV) How I know this is the TV and I had to go in their once or three times to fix her sons & her sons sons laptop which is the side my sound stuff is on... So I Don't know why his moaning its not like my windows where open, I had them closed (Until I Spotted my computer temperatures when He left (One was up at 64C (Max is 65C) and the other was at only 80C (Should be around 65C - 75C) So how he can say it was loudest music I've ever played day or night I'm shocked.

Re: Why Are police so fussy?

sounds very much like our houses , you can hear when people go to the toilet and what they go for i would probably move stuff over to the side the old lady lives on as she will be more tolerant as you have helped her and possibly will not have hearing quite as astute as the other neighbour.
Shame if you have to turn everything down and spoil your gaming ..i like my games in surround sound so i can hear people creeping up on me.
Good luck.

It's my second sound warning so I'm guessing I have to now..
