Re: Lost (UK Viewers avoid until after Fri night)

Here's another theory.

Quote:
the man is Esau, Jacob's twin brother from the biblical mythology.

"She received the prophecy that twins were fighting in her womb and would continue to fight all their lives"

Also, Isaac, their father, moved to Egypt, explaining the egyptian hyroglyphs and statue, not to mention Jacob means "he who follows upon the heels of one" and he lives in a foot haha.

Jacob tricks his father Isaac into giving him the firstborns birthright which belonged to Esau giving him control over all his brothers.

"Esau, naturally, is furious and vows to kill Jacob (Gen. 27:41)"

Also, Jacob has a son named Benjamin.

Re: Lost (UK Viewers avoid until after Fri night)

I thought it was obvious it was about multiple timelines, I've seen a few subliminal video frames saying 30 years ago etc

There is a lot of talk about Egyptian lore, Illiana has been likened to an Egyptian god Shankaeh (or something like that can't remember the exact name).

Shankaehs father was Ra. Richard Aplert? Lots of tenuous links in there.

I like the way that the two paralell storylines - Hydrogen Bomb & Jacob are opposed to each other as the Scientific Route and the Religous Route.

This is also apparent in Jack's story, he is a man of science who has changed into a man of faith

Re: Lost (UK Viewers avoid until after Fri night)

Interesting start. I was right about multiple timelines, i even told a mate a while back that i bet this season starts with the alternate timeline of them not crashing
