Re: My Tunes now on SoundCloud

Cheers Azz...I need some new software as it's a little dated now so I'm missing out on a few professional sounds these days - might have to see what I can download

One day I'll have a proper studio/games room....one day

It's a shame you don't live around here - you could have borrowed all my old studio stuff - it's just sitting around in boxes anyway, probably gone rusty or sommin now because of the cold in the garage :/

Re: My Tunes now on SoundCloud

Impressive, but not to my taste.

If I were you I would wait a few years more for programs to become more afordable, because professional editing/ music creativity programs are ridiculously priced currently.

What software did you use to produce those tracks?

There are a range of affordable programs avaiable here:http://www.amazon.co.uk/music-creati...Editing&page=1

You could even trial some programs, that will get you mind thinking. The programs avaiable on Amazon do not offer the complexity or flexibility of professional ones, but they will give you something to work with and develop, it's a start.

Of course theres always the alternative of piracy.

How old are you? Im pressuming your 16 or 17? It's nice to know you like something and want to take it further. You could take music next year or at some other point. Who knows we may have the next MJ sitting right before us?

Hope this helps.

Good job on the Film 2010 thread.

Sent from IPhone.

Re: My Tunes now on SoundCloud

Haha...well try doubling the 16-17 guess and you'll be somewhere close.

I use Propellerheads Reason 4.0 and a laptop...so I don't have any fancy keyboards and I haven't bought any professional sound/sample kits that would add that touch of professional production. I just do this in my spare time as a nice hobby...Reason 4.0 is a little limited and some controls could be better. Putting all the drum beats together takes time, as does trying not to sound to cheesy...in the end I get bored with a tune and then put it out there for people to listen to.

Let me post a couple more and see what you think

Re: My Tunes now on SoundCloud

I actually use to use Reason 4 too.

I decided to choose Reason 4 because of its flexibility, simplicity and complexity. Reason are one of the best company's around who make and develop music creativity programs.

I like their new addition of Reason Record which they introduced recently.

There's always the option of adding sound packs to further improve the variety of sounds. You could pay or pirate your choice.

There are a wide range of tutorials which cover almost everything from beginner to advanced users available on YouTube.

From the new batch I am in agreement with Azz I like the first track more than second one.

In regards to the second track, I think the drums and Hi hats are more associated with Rap and Hip Hop.

All of them are up to a good standard, if I had to pick one it would be Poptastic.
I think all the instruments sing perfectly in harmony with each other. Also there are vocals in this track why not in the others? Where did you get the vocals from?

Additionally I use to use a Akai MPK25 Midi keyboard. I hardly ever use it now. I would recommend you to purchase one, in the future. Prices range from 50-250 +.

It is a lot easier to play drums and play synthesizers with a Midi Keyboard.

Keep up the good work
