Re: PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

I love my vita but the games have not delivered yet, says it all when my favourite game so far is jetpack joyride.

But tear away is supposed to be good and with me getting that for Christmas and the ability for me to be playing the ps4 when I go to the toilet at work will reinvigorate the vita for me!

Re: PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

Love my Vita as well. Persona 4 Golden is awesome on the vita, well worth getting if you like jrpgs.

Remote play sounds cool but not sure I will use it much to be honest. Using it as a second screen etc... sounds a lot more useful then remote playing a PS4 title IMO

Re: PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

Since I made that post, I finished 3 more Vita games. I still don't get what people are saying about it not having good games. Maybe it's just that I'm directly in the target market for the system.

Re: PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

I'm sure their are good games but I choose one game and play it then get bored and scour the lists to find a game that interests me and its a struggle to find one be honest.

But then I thought Gravity Rush was pretty average and everybody else raves about it.

Re: PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

I did enjoy gravity rush and one of the only handheld games I've played from start to finish.

Let me go through my list of Vita games that I own here... I have something like 50 games in my list. It looks like I haven't added everything to the list either though.

Alien Breed. Not the greatest game, but one for people nostalgic for the Amiga era of computing.

Aqua Kitty. A silly defender clone. *meh*

Ascent of Kings, less-than-8-bit pixel art platformer. I liked this one, but it's probably not for everyone

Atelier Totori/Meruru Plus. Acquire tastes, for sure.

Bentley's Hackpack. Decent enough collection of minigames, I thought it was worth the few dollars.

Break Quest: Extend Evolution. A free to play time waster, decent enough, but not worth spending much money on.

Chima: Laval's Journey. Not great, but I hear its a lot like the rest of the Lego games, if you're into lego games.

Disgaea 3. Fantastic, best version of Disgaea 3 made. Though, not everyone likes japanese break-the-system Strategy RPGs.

Dokuro. I've heard nothing but good things about this one, but haven't gotten to it yet.

Dragon Fantasy. A must for any Dragon Quest fans.

Dragon Fantasy Book 2. Similar, but for Chrono Trigger fans. Not quite as true to the original as DFb1 was.

Dragon's Crown. I found it a little meh, but the artwork is very detailed, and I've heard good things from people who enjoyed the old D&D beat-em-up games.

Gravity Rush. Not the longest, nor the best controlling of games, but the gravity mechanics were tons of fun. If only the lockon worked a bit better.

Guacamelee! If you don't have this, buy it. It's fantastic.

Hermit Crab in Space. A tiny little game, but it's a fun challenge. You destroy enemies, then steal their parts to put onto your own ship to keep going.

Hotshots Golf. I spent more time on this than almost any other game.

Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery. Not quite Layton levels, but it's worth trying if you like layton style games.

Jetpack Joyride. Eh, it's Ok.

Knytt Underground. Like Metroid or Castlevania, except that you don't really get more powers that you can use anywhere. You find items to unlock new areas, and most of the game is just exploration and traversal. It's just completely huge though, I spent tons of time wandering about. There's some bugs in the Vita version, so be prepared in at least 1 place to cloud-save it and do a task or two on the PS3 version.

Motorstorm RC. Decent enough. Not really to the threshold of being great.

Muramasa: Rebirth. An absolute must-have. I don't know if it's out over there, but it's a really excellent game. Don't worry about the people who complain about backtracking. All you need to do to avoid that is bring some bronze mirrors and use them after the bosses.

New Little King's Story. I need to play this still

Nun attack. Same as above.

Persona 4 Golden. I spent 170 hours on this thing to platinum it. I don't do that with games that aren't really freaking good.

Picbox. A quick little Picross diversion, not really very substantial though.

Playstation Allstars. I need to play it more

Quell Memento. Interesting puzzle game with unusual narrative.

Quiet, Please. A tiny, bite-sized sub-8-bit adventure game. I enjoyed it. There's a sequel out now too. Vacation Vexation.

Rayman Origins. Just great, but really, really frustrating.

Rayman Legends. The Vita version is second only to the Wii U version now as for how much content it has. I think it might even be tied. It's a great game.

Resistance: Burning Skies. If you can get this one for under $15, it might be worth a go. I got the platinum in about 1 level past new game+. It's not going to set the world on fire, but it's a decent time waster of an FPS.

Rocketbirds. Eh, it's ok.

Rymdkapsel. Really good, at least until you get to the 70 minute mark. It then just gets to be a test of how long you can survive.

Sine Mora. Good side-scrolling shooter.

Sly Cooper 4. From what I've heard, this is very nice.

Sound Shapes. Like Guacamelee, if you haven't played this you should.

Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark. Challenging, and interesting.

Stranger's Wrath. The best FPS on the system, at least as far as ones with lengthy single player campaigns go.

Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. If you haven't played this, you need to.

Thomas was alone. Just great

Touch my Katamari. Just more Katamari, not really very special past that.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss. I actually like this one better than Uncharted 1 & 2.

Walking Dead. You've probably already played it on PS3.

Ys: Memories of Celceta. You really can't go wrong with an Ys game. I'm sure this one will be great from start to finish.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. Also quite excellent.
