PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

Is remote play a compelling enough reason for you to get a Vita? Can definitely see it being handy!

Re: PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

I got my Vita ages ago and now is gathering dust (losing all my games on a plane hasn't helped) so I am hoping the PS4 sheds a new light on it.

My Vita has never managed to gather any dust. I've finished 22 games on it this year.

Depends on how you plan to use it. I have used it to play Madden and Battlefield 4. There were some moments of paused play and stuttering, but overall this is a cool feature. If the TV is tied up, you can use your PS4 anywhere. The controls however, default to using the back touchpad for R1/R2/L1/L2, which I personally don't like, but you can remap buttons to help with this. You need to have a good router/hub assuming you are going wireless. If you use a direct cable connection, it is obviously a better experience, but that defeats the purpose somewhat in my opinion. I also like using the Vita as a controller in the situation where your Dualshock battery is dead, or you don't have enough controllers.

It might also solve your audio conundrum?

How Jotch? I don't wanna remote play just to get audio - plus I want to connect the audio to my speakers. Might as well use the controller jack instead of vita in that case.

You can use the Vita as a controller? (Without having to remote play?) That sounds pretty cool.

I like the idea of using remote play in bed - to wind down before going to sleep

I was simply thinking of using good headphones - I guess the sound would be better out of the vita than the controller.

Speakers you say? Get a new amp and use the HDMI or digital out on PS4?

Re: PS Vita remote play - best reason to get one?

I'm loving the fact I will be able to spend Xmas at my desk at work playing PS4! I was very close to sticking it on eBay but glad I decided against it.

I like my Amp tho I have had it donkeys years and I just love the sound of it.

Then again, suppose I could look into a mini amp, buy one from Amazon and see how that goes... Good idea Jotchy Bothcy!
