Re: Theme Parks

Well to stay in one of the "budget" Disney hotels it was around 3000 for 4 of us, with 2 week unlimited tickets to all the Disney parks. Obv on top of that theirs car hire and tickets to the other parks.

You can get different versions of tickets to the parks. Disneys go from 1 park a day, any 7 days over 2 weeks, to unlimited parks a day for all 14 days. You can buy tickets that include Universal, Islands of Adventure and WetNWild in similar sort of bundles I think, and then a bundle fo Busch Gardens, Sea World and Aquatica. Travel brochures tend to show you all the options.

We found that these were only available when bought through travel agents in the UK, they were much more expensive if bought over in the US, but I guess if you just wanted to go to 1 of the 3 in a bundle then it would be cheaper to buy a ticket on the day.

Re: Theme Parks

Sounds reasonable - will have to check it out one day! Tho there are loads of places left on my to-visit list.

Re: Theme Parks

Haha you got plenty of time. It's definitely not a place to go if you wanna relax, maybe try Miami or the keys for that! Some people spend 2 weeks at the theme parks then a week on the beach to get some relaxing time, but tbh all the sun manages to stop you getting tired or anything like that.

Re: Theme Parks

I recently got back from Florida, due to the volacano disruptions I ended up in Orlando for 24 days! Has to be said, the theme parks there are epic, there's something for everyone. I can only echo what's been said above, it really is an amazing place. My one bit of advice would be to go "off season" and outside of school holidays, because when we were there over easter, the parks were heaving, but the time outside of the holidays when we were stuck there, the ques were non-existant, you literally just walked onto everything (as opposed to the up to 2 hour waiting times!).
