Re: Customs charges

The only thing that puts me off is the cleaning

They're a bit more fiddly to clean than the normal ones - I hate having to faff around cleaning my normal centrifugal one - so gawd knows what I'd be like with one of those

Are you thinking about getting one too then?

Re: Customs charges

I was looking at it, because the juice does look soo much better! And the cleaning doesn't look to bad does it, a bit of boiling water whilst it's on? I guess it would need a better clean in the end, but it's meant to be easy.

But the price is a little off putting...actually alot of putting!

That's only to flush it in between different juices (not much use really - more for pro juice bars).

Once you're done you have to take them apart and clean all the bits. Currently on my centrifugal one I have:

top
juice funnel
metal filter
and pulp container

Which isn't bad compared to most. I usually put some foil in the pulp container and then just give the pulp to Rocky - so one less thing to clean

The worse part is the filter as you have to scrub it with a brush, and I can see the filter on those vertical juicers being a pain :-/

I might do the kitchen up this year - so am holding off.. thinking about getting an extension done to the house by taking more out on the mortgage
