How to rip/save youtube vids

I think Z, or someone else asked how to do this a while ago? Anyway found this site that lets you save youtube vids as a variety of formats... idle for your ipods/walkmans/psps etc

I use 'Free Download Manager' and works great for Flash vids etc...

I do like how you can save in different formats using savetube though!

Or you could also use keepvid.com

Or you could download Realplayer and there a really cool feature with it that whenever you're playing something on the internet on any browser with any video format (Win, Mov, Flv, ect), if you hover over the video, a little object popping up behind the video will say 'Download This Video' and it just downloads it straight to your hard drive. Much better than any website tbh.

I use the download helper addon for firefox, if you disable all the toolbar icons and stuff it just leaves a little icon next to the title on youtube to download the video in 3 formats (FLV, MP4, HD MP4), or you can download files embedded in other sites by using the context menu (right click). There are many other addons that do similar sort of things aswell

Thanks for all the useful links, I just searched for a widget for my opera browser and found a good one too. Didn't think you could dl them !
